SilverRatesToday provides silver-price references, calculators, charts and market information at silverratestoday.com. In this policy, “we” and “our” refer to the operator of SilverRatesToday.

Contact emails. When you email us, we receive your email address, message and any name or other information you include. We use this information to respond and deal with follow-up questions. Our contact address uses Google’s Gmail service.

Technical information. Cloudflare hosts and delivers the website. It processes IP addresses, connection and request details, traffic-routing information and browser or system information to deliver pages, maintain performance and protect against abuse.

The website has no user accounts, contact-submission form, newsletter signup or payment facility. We do not ask visitors for financial account details.

Silver weights and purity selections are processed in your browser and are not sent to our market-data providers. Market prices and exchange rates are obtained through our backend and supplied to the website. Our application draws the price charts from this data; we do not embed third-party chart widgets.

Selecting a country or currency changes the market information displayed; it does not establish where you live.

Our application uses session storage to temporarily cache public prices, charts and market summaries. This storage supports the site’s functions and does not create an advertising profile. We store your optional analytics choice in local storage for up to 180 days. You can remove stored website data through your browser settings.

The website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure visits, page views and page performance. Its reports include pages viewed, referring sites, country-level location, browser, operating system and device type. The analytics beacon does not use cookies or browser storage and does not track visitors across websites. Cloudflare explains this service in its Web Analytics documentation and analytics privacy information.

Cloudflare’s separate security features can use cookies for security and abuse prevention. Cloudflare explains its handling of technical information and related technologies in its Privacy Policy.

Google Analytics. If you accept optional analytics, Google Analytics measures visits, pages viewed and interactions such as scrolling and outbound link clicks. It processes browser and device information, approximate geographic information, referral information and cookie identifiers. We use these reports to understand usage and improve the website. Google Analytics cookies, including _ga and _ga_*, distinguish browsers and sessions; our implementation limits their configured lifetime to 180 days without extending it on each visit. Google Signals and advertising personalization are disabled in our website configuration.

We do not load the Google Analytics tag before you accept. Rejecting analytics does not restrict any website tool. Use Analytics preferences at the bottom of any ordinary page to change your choice or withdraw consent. Withdrawal stops collection for this browser and removes accessible Google Analytics cookies; it does not automatically delete information already collected. If browser storage is unavailable, your choice may not persist between pages. Cloudflare’s separate cookie-free analytics is unaffected.

Our analytics code does not send calculator weights or purity inputs as custom events. The initial page address sent by our code excludes query strings and fragments. Google Analytics can also collect standard enhanced-measurement events, including outbound link addresses. Do not include personal or sensitive information in website URLs. Google AdSense is planned but is not active as of this policy’s date. No advertising network is currently integrated into the application.

When Google advertising is enabled, Google and participating third-party advertising vendors use cookies to serve ads based on previous visits to this website and other websites. Google’s advertising cookies allow Google and its partners to personalize ads. Advertising services also process information such as IP addresses, browser details and online identifiers for ad delivery, measurement and fraud prevention.

You can manage Google ad personalization through Google Ads Settings at adssettings.google.com or My Ad Center at myadcenter.google.com. Participating vendors also offer opt-outs through WebChoices at optout.aboutads.info. Opting out of personalization does not block all advertising.

Before advertising is activated, we will update this policy to identify participating advertising providers and provide the consent and privacy controls required for that setup.

Cloudflare processes technical website information and usage and performance measurements to provide hosting, delivery, security and analytics. With your consent, Google also processes website usage information through Google Analytics as described above. Google processes contact correspondence through Gmail under its Privacy Policy.

We do not sell contact messages or use them for advertising. Our current application does not share visitor information for targeted advertising.

Information is also disclosed when legally required or necessary to investigate abuse and protect the website. These disclosures are limited to the information needed for that purpose.

Our service providers operate internationally, so information is processed in countries outside your country of residence under their applicable data-protection arrangements.

Your rights depend on applicable law. EU and UK data-protection rights include access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, objection, withdrawal of consent and complaints to a data-protection authority, subject to legal conditions and exceptions. Under those laws, our legal bases are legitimate interests in operating and securing the site and answering enquiries, legal obligations, and consent for processing that requires it.

California’s CCPA, where it applies, provides rights to know, correct and delete information and to opt out of sale or sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising, without discrimination. Our current application does not carry out that advertising-related sale or sharing.

We verify ownership before releasing personal records and handle requests within the deadlines required by applicable law.

We retain contact correspondence for responding to enquiries, resolving related issues and meeting legal obligations. We delete information when those purposes no longer require it.

Cloudflare Web Analytics makes the previous six months of reports available to us. Retention of separate hosting and security records depends on the Cloudflare services and settings used. Browser session storage lasts for the browser session.

We use HTTPS and access-controlled services to help protect information. No internet service can guarantee complete security.

Google Analytics user- and event-level retention depends on the property’s configured retention setting. Aggregated reports can remain available for longer. We honour withdrawal for future collection; contact us about deletion requests for information already held. Browser identifiers may be needed to locate a relevant analytics record.

SilverRatesToday is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Parents or guardians who believe a child has sent us personal information can contact us to request its removal.

Our articles and market summaries link to other websites. Those websites handle information under their own privacy policies. Review their policies when you visit them.

We update this policy when our services or privacy practices change. The revised policy is published on this page with an updated date. We obtain fresh consent for changes that legally require it.
